Q) Due to slip of the belt, the velocity ratio of the belt drive
Solution:
When belt slips, the driven pulley does not rotate in the same rpm as the driving pulley.
Thus there is to reduction in the velocity ratio of the system. As the slipping of the belt is a common phenomenon, thus the belt tension should monitored and adjusted to maintain required velocity ratio.
